I seem to spend a lot of time lately in You Tube, and recently I found  a guitar player that I have not been watching for a while, and came across Jeff beck, who in my opinion qualifies as one of the guitar playing greats.

My strongest memory of him is from his “High Ho Silver Lining” days, which I always thought had a great lead break, and I eventually learned to play it quite well, but no as good as Jeff Beck.

He seems to have changed his preference in music as well, and he’s got a style of playing that I have not seen anyone else using which I think is great.

Not only does he use his whammy bar a lot, but he also uses his volume and tone controls to make the unique sounds that he gets out of his guitar.

His choice of musicians for his band, which are all excellent in their own right, and the girl bass player is brilliant, her name is  Tal Wilkenfeld (hope I spelt that right) watch out for her in one of the video’s below.

I found a good article on Jeff Beck with a lot of interesting background on him in Wikipedia, so if you want to read more about him here’s the link to it Guitar Playing Greats Jeff Beck.

Here’s a couple of video’s that I think you will like.

When I first decided to put this site together it was my intention to write a review of the different Guitar Lessons that are available here, however on reflection I think that it would be unfair to both you and to the companies advertised on these pages, as they are all good in their different way´s.

As the saying goes, one mans meat is another mans poison, so I have decided to give you as much information as I can, so that you can decide for yourself.

Most of these companies offer FREE sample lessons, so I suggest that you click on the different adverts and sign up for them, and test them yourself, and then purchase whichever one suits your requirements.

I would be very pleased to hear from you, about how you are getting on with the lessons, and also for you to let other people know what you think about them.

You can do this by leaving a comment on my blog, or perhaps you may want to write your own review of a product, which I would be pleased to publish for you, and give you the credit for it. You can do this by contacting me via the contact me here or the tab at the top of each page.

Country Guitar Lesson; Is It Easy To Learn How To Play?

Is it easy to play country music on a guitar? Well the truth is no it isn´t, not without first getting some country guitar lesson´s. But the fact is the same for anything that you want to do properly; you need some good instructions before you can play really good.

You can teach yourself using books and chord charts, but you may never really get any good at it, not without having someone to show you exactly how to do it, and you can hear how it should sound. Makes sense, doesn´t it?

The problem is for most beginners is that they are so keen to play at first, that they don´t take the time to learn properly, and they soon give up. This is particularly true for young people.

The other problem that you can have when teaching yourself, is that it´s very easy to pick up bad habits, that are difficult to get out of later on.

By far the best way is to get a really good teacher, even before you go out to buy your first guitar, he or she can help you select the best type of guitar, for the type of music that you intend to learn how to play.

Some of the cheaper guitars can be very difficult for beginners to play, so it´s worth getting some help with this.

It could stop you wasting money, and more to the point, if you choose a guitar that is too difficult to play, it may even make you give up before you´ve even really started.

Choose your teacher carefully, find someone who has a good reputation and has several years experience playing country music.

Country music is one of the easiest ways to get started, because of its easy flowing nature and steady beat it is easier to keep in time with the music.

You will need to learn the scales for country music as well as the chords for it, and you will need to practice them every day for at least half an hour.

You will find that your fingers will hurt a lot in the beginning until the skin gets hard, so keep on practicing.

Your muscles will need to build up in your hands, but they need to be strong enough to hold the strings down on the guitar, so that the notes are nice and clear.

The only problem that you could have with a teacher for country guitar lesson is that after your lesson it´s easy to forget bits, unless you write them down.

But this takes up some of your learning time with the teacher resulting in more expense. Another good way to learn to play properly is by having your country guitar lesson on a DVD.

In fact this is probably the best way to do it, as you can always watch again and again until you get it absolutely right, and don’t forget practice makes perfect eventually.

Some of these videos in country guitar lesson´s can even supply you with a range of backing tracks for you to play along with; you can even slow them down until you build your speed up, and then gradually speed them up to the correct speed when you have learnt it.

Take a look at them here.

It is good to start with country guitar lesson´s, the scales and chords are similar to rock and roll, blues and even heavy metal music.

With video guitar lesson´s there are a large variety of different styles to choose from, and in the long run can save you a lot of money that you would have to spend on your own personal teacher.

Please give the video a little time to load properly, Pause after clicking play otherwise they will keep stopping, which is very annoying, it takes a little patience but it´s worth it.
